New Students and Parents

Registration and Enrollment

Thank you for considering The Pinnacle for your student.  We proudly teach Kindergarten through 12th Grade.   Our application is open for students in all Colorado public school districts.

The Pinnacle is a public charter school.  Charter schools are a unique and important part of Colorado's education system.  Charter schools are open to all students and offer families an alternative to their zoned public schools.  The Pinnacle and all charter schools:

  • Are public, tuition-free schools
  • Offer options and opportunities for all students
  • Are held accountable both academically and financially

Although we are tuition free, we do have some fees associated with workbooks, supplies, technology, etc.  Please take a look at our fees on the Business Office and Student Fees page before you submit your application.  If you qualify for free/reduced lunch, these fees can be waived or reduced upon presentation of your discount letter.

New Student Registration at The Pinnacle Charter School

How to apply for admission at the Pinnacle:

  1. Submit your application online. We do not have paper applications, but the PCS business office has computers available for prospective parents to use to submit applications.
  2. Submit your student’s records. Please read below to find out what records are needed for each grade. Applications without all mandatory records will not receive an offer of acceptance. Records must be submitted within 10 business days of the application. We will not contact parents/guardians to request records.

Enrollment Offers

Once an enrollment offer is extended, the parent/guardian has ten business days to accept the spot. If the registration department does not receive an acceptance call or email from the parent/guardian, the offer does expire, and the student’s application is inactivated. Students that do not receive an offer will be contacted to determine their desire to stay on the waitlist for the following school year. Enrollment offers are extended March through August. The Pinnacle cannot enroll students after October 1st of the school year. Please note that the Pinnacle tests all incoming students for grade level placement.

Our Waitlist

PCS runs a waitlist for every grade. Offers are extended in the order in which the applications are received. However, returning students, siblings of currently enrolled students, and children of current Pinnacle employees will be given priority on our grade level waitlists. We recommend submitting applications as early as possible.
